Super Smash Bros. Ultimate reviews round-up, all the scores

Likely Nintendo's biggest game this year: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out tomorrow, and reading reviews is a great way to make the wait bearable.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the first game in the series on Nintendo Switch, and it's by most accounts the biggest one Nintendo's ever made. Boasting the largest character roster ever in a Smash game, Ultimate is pulling out all the stops.

In fact, every character that previously appeared in a Smash game is playable in Ultimate - split into two groups: regular, and echo fighters. Everyone starts off with just 12 characters available, but you'll have to unlock the rest by playing.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also features a single-player, Adventure mode called World of Light, which is a sort of upgraded version of Subspace Emissary from Brawl. This is actually one of the more mysterious parts of Ultimate, left for players to discover come launch.

Before you head on below to read the reviews, check out the video at the link for a look at all alternate costumes in the game.

As always, scores are out of ten except where noted.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches December 7 worldwide on Nintendo Switch.
