South Park: The Stick of Truth still on track for 2013 release

Ubisoft has confirmed that South Park: The Stick of Truth is expected to release this year.

The Obsidian-developed RPG was to be published by THQ in the second quarter but was stymied by the company's bankruptcy.

Ubisoft picked the game up at auction, and told Videogamer that it's "scheduled for release in calendar 2013".

The RPG was developed in close collaboration with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone even before a publisher had been found, and is headed to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Ubisoft also grabbed THQ Montreal, headed by former employee Patrice Désilets, but we've not yet had official confirmation of what the studio is working on.
