SimCityEDU headed to classrooms next month

Glasslab has put together a special classroom edition of SimCity which ties in with a specially-designed curriculum.

Due on November 7, SimCityEDU is designed to teach about environmental impact and civic management, tailored to specific age ranges and classroom settings.

This special version of the game puts students in charge of a town and presents them with various missions to balance the needs of the citizens. It's not just a game, though - it's been integrated into curriculum plans with specific learning goals, and educators are provided with teaching guidelines and student feedback avenues.

More information is available direct from GlassLab. The initiative was announced in January.

Thanks, Polygon.
