SK confirms lay-offs, denies Nintendo rumours

Silicon Knights boss Dennis Dyack has shot down yesterday's whispers of the developer's dependence on a disgruntled Nintendo.

In a statement issued to GamesIndustry, Dyack confirmed that, as rumoured, the Too Human developer has let some staff go.

"Silicon Knights has unfortunately had to lay off a small number of people. We are scaling back to a core group and focusing all our efforts on future opportunities," he said.

The rest of the tale - that the Canadian developer is financially dependent on Nintendo, which has dropped the company like a hot potato following the failure of its suit against Epic - is not true.

"As to the rumor about Nintendo, it is not true and has no basis in fact," Dyack said.

You'll notice nobody denied that an Eternal Darkness sequel might be in the works. Hooray!
