Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues footage escapes Rooster Teeth Expo

Get an early look at Ultima creator Richard Garriott's new MMO-like project, Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues, in video footage out of Rooster Teeth Expo.

Portalarium brought the "selective multiplayer" RPG to the Austin event this weekend, and you can see it in action along with a Q&A with the development team.

Some of the features shown in the video include the top down map, third-person view, crafting, combat and perhaps most interestingly the NPC dialogue system, which has players typing in responses rather than choosing from a list.

Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues was Kickstarted for $1.9 million but is still after your money; there's even a lay-by scheme for the more expensive reward tiers.
