Shroud of the Avatar's latest major release adds combat, an update to the game's website confirms.

The new version will be available to backers until 10:00PM Central on March 30.

Other features include the overworld map, ten scenes, quests, loot, limited crafting, player housing, parties and swimming.

Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues is the spiritual successor to the Ultima series from Richard Garriott, its creator. It was crowdfunded, and is a shared worlds RPG.
