Rumour: Amnesia, Dear Esther devs to collaborate on A Machine for Pigs

Frictional Games has revealed the title of its next release, but Internet sleuths think they've uncovered much more.

At the conclusion of an AR Game, Frictional revealed its next game, A Machine for Pigs, is due in northern autumn.

Although no further details have been given, the AR game included the phrase "The world is a machine. A machine for pigs. Fit only for the slaughtering of pigs.”

During the teasing which led up to the AR game, Frictional dropped a hint about China;
you can follow the chain of association here, but in short, several signs appear to point to the next game from Dear Esther developer TheChineseRoom, suggesting a possible collaboration between the two masters of atmosphere.

Frictional's last game, Amnesia: The Dark descent, scored dozens of awards - particularly for sound - and is pants-wettingly terrifying.
