Power Rangers Megaforce heading to 3DS in fall, uses card scanner

Power Rangers Megaforce is coming to Nintendo 3DS this Autumn courtesy of Namco Bandai. it uses card-scanning tech to enable power-ups and other neat AR tricks.

Shacknews reports that the game is a side-scolling action tie in with the Nickelodeon show, and that players will be able to collect physical cards and scan them into the game, as well as using a photo of themselves to become an in-game character.

Here's a photo of the cards. It's unclear if the entire set is bundled or if you'll have to buy boosters from stores.

Are you interested or are you much too old for Power Rangers now?
