Planetside 2 game update 13 live, Esamir refreshed

Planetside 2 game update 13 is live, bringing changes to the icy continent of Esamir.

According to patch notes released last week, which may not be entirely accurate now that the update is live, Esamir has had "a major facelift with virtually every facility and outpost modified and enhanced, with some being completely replaced".

"The goal with these changes is to enhance gameplay flow and help support the addition of the lattice connections on the continent," creative director Matt Higby wrote.

Other new content, tweaks and features include four weapons; improved weapon audio; suit slot tuning; and changes to spawns.

One thing the update definitely does not contain is implants, paid buffs which were cancelled after the community expressed hostility to the idea.
