Pachter: Guitar Hero for Wii U on the way

Guitar Hero dead? Not fully six feet under yet, by the looks of it.

Michael Pachter has slipped that a new Guitar Hero may be on the way for Wii U.

"I walked out with the guy who runs Guitar Hero," the Wedbush Morgan analyst told GTTV in Los Angeles.

"And I said I can’t believe that that’s not on Wii U, and he goes 'It’ll be on Wii U, but we’re not gonna announce that yet.' So there you go."

That's despite Activision confirming earlier this year that it had closed the business units for both Guitar Hero and DJ Hero. The last main game was last year's Guitar Hero 5.

Don't ever change, Michael.
