Official: Krome Studios closes down

Krome Studios has officially closed, confirming speculation on Friday.

According to IGN, all remaining staff were laid off on Friday. A skeleton crew of contractors might be brought back to finish off work on existing projects.

It's thought Krome went bust due to putting too many sources into unsuccessful new IPs.

Krome, founded in 1999, developed Blade Kitten from Atari, Game Room for 360, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on PS2 and Wii and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger.

The developer laid off 110 staff last year - 50 in April and 60 in November.

Good luck to those affected.
