Ninja Theory ain't afraid of no PS3

Ninja Theory's chief designer has said that because of the team's first outing on PS3, Heavenly Sword, the developer now has a tighter grasp on how to develop games for the console.

Speaking with NowGamer, Tameem Antoniades said that because of Heavenly Sword, it didn't have to start from scratch this time around with Enslaved.

He also feels that with some of the negativity surrounding the console vanishing, development's been a lot less nerve-wracking for the team as well.

"When we went into this project instead of starting from scratch with absolutely nothing we had a much clearer idea of what we wanted to do and how we could do it," he said.

"The PS3 didn't scare us anymore because we were so used to it, so it's been a lot smoother.

"I think a lot of the games that were announced back then were tainted by that negativity about the price of the console and the things people were saying about it.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is slated for fall on PS3 and Xbox 360.

The script was penned by 28 Days Later and Sunshine writer Alex Garland.
