Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus contains Hero Mode for amateur ninjas

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus will contain a lower-level mode for new players called Hero Mode.

According to Siliconera, the mode also sports modified controls which will allow players to use the Vita touchscreen to toss opponents.

Ryu will also auto-guard against attacks should the player get into trouble.

Another new mode called Ninja Race allows the player to grab items which increase Ryu’s speed, which will allow him to chain enemy kills and increase attack power.

Finally, a new Tag Mission Mode gives players more time with Ayane, Momiji and Rachel, and there will be new character costumes added.

More experienced Ninja Gaiden players shouldn't worry over the easier mode, as the game will also contain new “hardcore” elements.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, a remake of the PS3 version which was a remake of the Xbox 360 version, will release for Vita February 28 in Japan, and will release elsewhere in early 2013.
