New Linux nVidia drivers available now

Graphics driver updates aren't in our usual style but with the launch of the Steam Linux beta today it seems like a good time to be giving your open-source computer a bit of a spruce up. NVidia has released a new set of R310 drivers for a significant range of products, which it claims can "double the performance and dramatically reduce game loading times for those gaming on the Linux operating system". The drivers were developed in collaboration with Valve and other Linux-friendly developers, and Doug Lombardi called them "an absolutely unequalled solution for Linux gamers".
