Mortal Kombat X: you can try Jason Voorhees for free this week

If you own Mortal Kombat X and would like to try out Jason Voorhees - the game's first DLC character - you're in luck.

Making good on their pre-release promise to allow every player the chance to try out new DLC characters during their launch week, Mortal Kombat X developer NetherRealm has done just that.

If you turn on your game and go the Living Towers section, you will see that the Premiere Tower gives you access to Jason and pits you against a number of fighters. You don't get to choose which variation you want, but all three of them will rotate as you climb the tower.

You have until Monday to give him a shot. Think of it as a free trial for the new Kombatant, to see if you like him.

Jason is available now to season pass holders and a la carte.
