Mortal Kombat X PC patch fixed, High Voltage to address deleted saves

Mortal Kombat X players who have lost their saves should stay tuned for an update.

Yesterday's withdrawn Mortal Kombat X patch has been fixed and re-released. Restart your Steam client to grab the update if it hasn't automatically downloaded.

The patch adds a bunch of improvements to the game, but what it doesn't do, unfortunately, is restore any saves you lost thanks to yesterday's patch.

In a Steam Community post, port developer High Voltage Software apologised and said it intends to do something about the problem:

"We understand that some PC players lost their save data before we were able to correct an issue with the most recent patch. An updated patch was recently released to add Jason and all of the other patch improvements back into the game and no other players should experience save loss when installing the patch. We are truly sorry if the recent patch did cause you to lose your game save. Affected players should be hearing from us soon with details on how we are addressing the situation."

High Voltage asked players to sit tight until 12:00PM PST on May 8, and if they haven't heard from the developer, to submit a customer service help request through Warner Bros. support. To do so, select Ask for Help' from the menu at the top. On the form that follows, select Gameplay Help Request as your Question Type, Save Game issue as your Specific Question, and include your Steam Account Name in your help request description.

"We will make sure that you are helped out if you were impacted by this issue," High Voltage said.
