Mortal Kombat X could be in your hands right now if you know where to look.

Various reports are coming in from around the world that some retailers have started selling their stock of Mortal Kombat X pretty early. The game's sub-Reddit is filled with users who've already received their copies.

A few Twitch streams keep popping up as well, only to later disappear.

The game has a day one patch, weighing in at 1.8GB. The information comes from the PlayStation 4 version, but it's not hard to to imagine the Xbox One version getting the same patch. The patch brings the game to version 1.01 and comes with these improvements:

According to a few Reddit users, the patch also reduced the payout you get from winning fights. The virtual currency obtained from wining games can be used to unlock new events in the Krypt. We're obviously not able to confirm these reports, and there's always the chance that this change could be unintentional.

Mortal Kombat X is out on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One on April 14.
