Kung Lao is back in Mortal Kombat X

Mortal Kombat X sees our old pal Kung Lao make a return, hat and all.

A new Mortal Kombat X feature in Finnish magazine Pelaaja shows Lao joining previously confirmed cast members Goro, Raiden, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Kano, Quan Chi.

As Kotaku notes, Mortal Kombat X is set 25 years after the last game, explaining Lao's growing resemblance to a raisin (if raisins could kick your arse from here to sideways).

The article was translated on the Test Your Might forums, and apparently confirms that Lao's three fighting styles are the most diverse of any cast members.

The full translation gives a bit of detail regarding the fighter's story, some comments on the expanded online play modes, and a few other details fans should instantly vacuum into their brains - although we can't treat them as 100% confirmed at this point.

Mortal Kombat X is expected on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in April.
