Kojima and PS4 architect Mark Cerny are travelling the world checking out game tech

Hideo Kojima and Mark Cerny are on a world tour to check out all the latest motion-capture tech.

Mark Cerny, renowned game designer and system architect for the PlayStation 4, has recently joined Twitter. His first tweet? A picture of himself and Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima touring the world, checking out various video game tech advancements.

So far, the pair has checked out the performance capture studio where The Last of Us and The Order: 1886 were filmed and more.

Kojima Productions producer Ken-ichiro Imaizumi said this will be a high-end tour, and he's not wrong. The pair also saw the latest in photogrammetry tech, and Kojima even had his face scanned.

Though none of them said what these were for, it's not hard to imagine they're doing research for Kojima's upcoming game, which will be co-produced by Sony for PS4, and is his first project after splitting from Konami.
