If you buy Hellblade on World Mental Health Day, Ninja Theory will donate the proceeds to charity

Buy Hellblade on October 10 and feel even better about your decision than you would otherwise.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a heck of a game I do not hesitate to recommend at any time, but if you're reading this while it's still October 10 in the UK, this is an especially good opportunity to crack open your wallet.

According to Eurogamer, Ninja Theory proposes to donate all proceeds from Hellblade sales on World Mental Health Day to Rethink, a UK charity devoted to improving the lives of everyone affected by mental illness and disorders.

This is on theme, of course, because Hellblade tells the story of a woman affected by psychotic symptoms. Ninja Theory drew on lived experience to craft Hellblade's simulation of these symptoms, and the results are affecting and apparently pretty accurate to how some people experience them.

Still not convinced? Check out Hellblade's reviews or view the accolades trailer below. Also, be aware that the whole save file erasure thing wasn't true, and progression bugs were quickly patched out - so you may want to revisit if you were turned off by early buzz.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is available on PC and PS4. It is best played with a controller, I think.
