GameStick to launch September 30 at $79.99, pre-orders open at Amazon, GameStop

GameStick developer PlayJam has set a September 30 release date on its Android console, along with a $79.99 price-tag.

Liliputing reports that PlayJam has undercut OUYA by $20 and that the console - which is housed within an HDMI dongle along with a bundled bluetooth controller - is available for pre-order at Amazon and GameStop now.

It follows a hard message from PlayJam that GameStick would absolutely launch in August. Still, better late than never.
