Games on YouTube: user-generated videos almost as popular as official material

Google has published an interesting paper detailing the importance of gaming content on YouTube. There's a lot of information to absorb, but as GameInformer pointed out, one of the key takeaways is that user-generated content like Let's Play videos, machinima, tutorials and so on represent about 47% of all traffic associated with a particular content. Meanwhile, pre-launch materials released by publishers and press represent 50%. I don't know if this proves Nintendo is a genius or completely batty.

Thanks, CyberMarco.
