You Don't Know Jack original series releases on Steam, on sale for $20

To celebrate the 18th anniversary of You Don't Know Jack's release, developer Jackbox Games has fixed up almost the entire series to run on modern computers and released them on Steam. This includes the first six volumes of the series, alongside the special movies, sports and television titles.

The games are available for $3 each, with all nine games being bundled together for $20. The online release, Offline and Louder, Faster, Funnier have not been updated and there isn't any indication Jackbox Games plans to release those three.

Mike Bilder, Jackbox Games' general manager noted that "In September 1995, we launched YOU DON’T KNOW JACK Volume 1 and, somehow, our studio has become even less mature".

"But we continue to be humbled by the love millions of gamers still have for our franchise and we wanted to find a way to recognize and celebrate our fans at this meaningless milestone in our history.

"I can’t tell you how many passionate gamers I’ve met over the years who have told me ‘YOU DON’T KNOW JACK was my very first video game."

You Don't Know Jack has seen a renaissance in recent years, with the successful Xbox Live release followed by a Facebook, iOS and Android release that has garnered more than 4 million downloads. The game was recently launched on the Ouya, although they haven't advertised the success of that version if it's had any.

Thanks, Polygon.
