Drakengard domain name secured by Square Enix

Now why would Square Enix US be buying up "DrakengardGame.com" just as Drakengard 3 approaches release in Japan, I wonder?

According to this WhoIs record, Square Enix's US arm picked up the domain name on September 27.

Square Enix did publish the first two Drakengard games in the west - with some content cut - as well as related title Nier. The publisher is quite fond of the series, bringing the old Cavia team back together for the third entry after the studio was disbanded.

Drakengard 3, or Drag-on Dragoon 3, is due on PlayStation 3 in Japan in December.
