Destiny 2 partnering with Rockstar Energy and Pop-Tarts for in-game DLC and XP boosts

You'll begin seeing Destiny 2-branded, Rockstar Energy drink cans and Pop-Tarts packages in stores soon.

The promos are part of a new partnership between Destiny 2 publisher Activision and the respective brands, similar to the Red Bull promo the first game had.

As part of the Rockstar Energy deal, limited edition Destiny 2 cans will be available in different flavours in the US, Canada, the UK, and Germany this month. Each country includes different flavours, but Original is the only constant across all regions.

Buying the marked cans will get you in-game gear and a chance to win other Destiny 2-themed prizes. Each can comes with a code that you'll need to enter in this website beginning September 1. Activision did not detail the DLC that'll be offered as part of this promo.

The Pop-Tarts deal is only available in the US. Similarly, you'll see specially-marked packages of Pop-Tarts in stores in September. These will be the 8-pieces and 12-pieces packages. You'll also get a code you need to enter here starting September 1.

Unlike Rockstar, Pop-Tarts packs will net you in-game XP boosts.

Destiny 2 is out September 6 on PS4, and Xbox One. The PC version follows on October 24.
