Castlevania: Lords of Shadow scores Film Music Critics award

Konami's stellar revamp Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has pocketed the International Film Music Critic's 2010 award for Best Score for a Video Game or Interactive Product.

The win was announced on the Film Music Critics website alongside such luminaries as The King's Speech, How to Train Your Dragon, and the re-release of Spartacus's soundtrack.

The soundtrack is credited to Óscar Araujo on behalf of Kojipro.

Dark Void, James Bond 007: Blood Stone, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole, and Lego Universe were also nominated.

The International Film Music Critics Association began handing out awards for original film music in 2004, but waited until 2009 to introduce an interactive category. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince beat out Assassin's Creed II and Modern Warfare 2 to take the prize last year

Thanks, Joystiq.
