Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2012 to give away $50,000 cash prize to one lucky gamer

Activision has announced that they will be awarding one lucky gamer in the United States a $50,000 cash prize for finding a hidden "golden buck" in Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2012 thanks to the Activision Golden Buck Sweepstakes.

Hidden in the game's Story Mode is the image of "golden" buck. When players find the hidden buck they need to take a photo of themselves in front of the screen and complete the entry form on the sweepstakes' Facebook page, together with the sweepstakes resigstration code packaged with each copy of the game. Entries are limited to one entry per code.

Curiously for a hunting game, the rules state that you required only to take a photo of yourself in front of the screen when you find the golden buck and not actually to shoot it.

The game is available on PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360.

The winner will be selected by a random automated drawing at 9:00:01 a.m. ET on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Entries close 11:59:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
