BioShock is not dead, future titles will be developed by 2K Marin

Irrational Games may be no more, but that isn't stopping publisher 2K from assigning development of future BioShock games to internal studio, 2K Marin.

Speaking during the Cowen and Company analyst conference, the same conference where he said that Red Dead Redemption is a "permanent franchise", Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick outlined how the future of the BioShock brand looks.

"We think [BioShock is] important and certainly something that we’re focused on; something 2K Marin will be responsible for shepherding going forward.

"I think there’s a lot of upside in that franchise. It hasn't necessarily been realized yet. And the question for the future, assuming we decide to answer the question, would be 'How do you stay true to that creatively?'"

So there you have it folks, you certainly are going to see more BioShock games going forward.

Thanks, DualShockers.
