Assassin's Creed creator's new game sounds quite a bit like Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Désilets has shared a few details of his next, very Assassin's Creed-sounding game.

Désilets unveiled his new indie studio last month, but has been very quiet since.

In a press release sent to GameInformer, the one-time Ubisoft and THQ Montreal leader finally lifted the lid on his new project.

The unnamed game will be a "historical-action-survival" affair, apparently. The survival bit is new, but otherwise it sounds pretty much like both Assassin's Creed and cancelled project 1666.

It's not going to be a short, downloadable indie-style game, either.

"Indeed AAA Games, I believe in them," Désilets said.

"I believe wholeheartedly that this medium we call video games can be a positive force for change in our society and that AAA quality gaming experiences have unmatched strength to achieve this."

Is it possible Désilets got the rights to 1666 back? Or has he had to start all over again? In any case: exciting times. You can scour the freshly-updated Panache Digital Games website for clues, if you like.
