Amazon no long offering digital edition of SimCity for sale

Though you can still pick up a physical copy of SimCity from Amazon, the online retailer has pulled the digital download from its figurative shelves, in an attempt to prevent more people from paying money for a product they can't use.

Near the top of the listing page, there is a note: "Many customers are having issues connecting to the "SimCity" servers. EA is actively working to resolve these issues, but at this time we do not know when the issue will be fixed. Please visit https://help.ea.com/en/simcity/simcity for more information."

In the meantime, Amazon is being barraged with negative reviews for the product, which carries an average user rating of one star right now.

Earlier today, EA began cutting out some of the social features in the game to attempt to lighten the server load.
