Activision details Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions a bit more

Activision has revealed some extra information regarding Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

Following on the heels of the first trailer released for it yesterday, a press release states that the game will allow players to travel through four of Marvel's different Spidey worlds.

Two were announced via the trailer - The Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man Noir.

The Amazing Spider-Man pays tribute to the classic era of our red-suited hero, while Spider-Man Noir features him utilizing shadows to perform stealth takedowns in a 1930's-influenced environment.

Penned by Marvel writer Dan Slott, the story has Spidey out to capture the magical energy of the Tablet of Order and Chaos, which has been shattered and scattered across parallel universes.

Gamers are challenged to battle villains such as Kraven, along with a custom, never-before-seen Noir version of Hammerhead in order to bring stability to the "fabric of reality".

Developed by Beenox, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is slated for September, and while formats have yet to be announced, logos for Wii, DS, PS3, and Xbox 360 can be seen at the end of the trailer.
