CD Projekt RED has revealed that development plans around the release of future games have not been changed.

Almost exactly a year ago, CD Projekt RED said that it’s planning to release two AAA games by 2021, one of which, of course, being Cyberpunk 2077.

This year, the developer reiterated its plans once again [Polish] (via ResetEra), adding that nothing has changed on that front. So far, the developer has not even hinted at what the other project is.

As it stands, most of the team is busy finishing Cyberpunk 2077, but it does appear that work on the next project has already begun. It’s possible this is a new game in The Witcher series. The studio previously said that while it won’t be making a full numbered sequel, it’s open to creating other games in The Witcher universe.

It’s also worth keeping in mind that Cyberpunk 2077 does not yet have a release date. Depending on the timing, we may be able to extrapolate a possible release window for the mysterious other AAA project.

Until such time, we can look forward to E3 in June, where Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely be.
