Red Dead Online might be getting a new mode called Gun Rush
Red Dead Redemption 2 may have a new mode on the way.
A Red Dead Redemption 2 player over on Reddit has claimed to have spotted a new mode on the in-game menu called Gun Rush, that disappeared as quickly as it popped up.
"I was about to quick join a showdown series but for a split second there were 2 more options," reads donajello1's post. "I clipped it and this is what was there. Probably a new game mode coming with the update this week?"
Speculation on the thread has players wondering if the mode could be comparable to GTA Online's Kill Quota that saw players start off with high-powered weapons that are replaced with progressively less powerful weapons each round, ending in a final, one-hit-kill melee round.

Rockstar is rolling out updates this coming week across all modes and missions, including gifting eligible players with free cash and Gold Bars following complaints that they were taking to long to earn.
The dev has promised to rebalance Red Dead Online's economy "to make it “rewarding and fun”.
The studio also reassured Online beta players that it doesn't have any current plans to wipe player progress once the beta ends.
