Fortnite's Flippin' Sexy emote lets players bag easy kills

Fortnite’s Flippin’ Sexy emote is being abused by showboating players. Will it be nerfed?

One of the best things about Fortnite is how it’s completely free and you never feel at a disadvantage for not paying.

All the items you can buy on the Battle Pass are cosmetic, from new gliders to emotes and skins. None of them offer anything besides a fun new look or a fresh way to taunt your enemies.

However, the Flippin’ Sexy emote, which was only available for a short amount of time, does give players a little advantage. The emote flips the player into a sexy pose as they lay prone, their hand on their hip.

Since this is a game where players don’t have the ability to go prone with the tap of a button, the emote is allowing players to surprise enemies by hiding behind low cover before popping up and shotgunning them in the head.

How annoyed would you be if the following happened to you?

Epic Games likely didn’t expect people would turn the emote into something that allowed them to weaponise a chaise de lounge, but here we are.

No doubt when the Flippin’ Sexy emote becomes available to buy again there will be some kind of gold rush as everyone tries to secure a tiny advantage.

It will be interesting to see if Epic patch it before or after everyone rushes to the store - especially as the current version of the emote allows players to cancel it with a gunshot. Like this:
