Assassin's Creed Origins - watch 18 minutes of new gameplay from a side mission

It's been a while since we've seen new footage of Assassin's Creed Origins, but that's about to change.

In a new gameplay video released earlier today, game director Ash Ismail sat down with IGN to showcase a new mission from the game.

This is a side quest called What's Yours is Mine. Although the video is 18-minutes-long, it doesn't show the entire mission. Ismail noted that side quests are often longer than this and will take you on a path across different areas.

Ismail also pointed out that Origins won't restrict your movements to a specific place while you're on a quest. For example, if you happen upon a target from a different quest while you're in the middle of your current quest, you're free to kill them without breaking the current mission.

In this mission, Bayek is tracking down a thief, and he discovers there's more than meets the eye. We get to see part of the game's tomb raiding feature when Bayek enters one of the Giza Pyramids. The footage was captured from an Xbox One X.

Assassins' Creed Origins is out October 27 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
