Titanfall 2 has a story campaign instead of the linked maps the first game offered for those after a narrative experience.

According to the latest developer diary, players can expect this story campaign to include some new elements when when Titanfall 2 launches later this month: lead game designer Jason McCord says there will be puzzle sections where players will have to "stop and think" rather than just running down corridors shooting.

New footage in the video also shows that some platforming will feature in Titanfall 2 - although only as a pilot. These sections allow for slower-paced exploration rather than the action of the mech sequences.

Titanfall 2's story campaign features protagonist called Jack Cooper, whose Titan is a Vanguard-class mech called BT-7274, and includes boss battles with enemies Respawn hopes will have more personality than standard foes.
