Bloodborne works with suspend/resume, but only offline

PlayStation 4's newly-added suspend/resume feature works with Bloodborne as you'd expect, but only while offline.

PlayStation 4 received the long-awaited suspend/resume feature today as part of firmware 2.50, and people are starting to test it out with various games.

Bloodborne does work with the feature, but only if you play offline. Playing online is arguably the better option, since you get to see all those messages, phantoms, and of course summon other players for help with bosses.

However, if you suspend the game in online mode and come back to it later to resume gameplay, it will have disconnected from the servers and will kick you back to the menu.

It would be interesting to see which games - if any - re-establish their online connection when resumed from suspend.

Stuck somewhere in Yharnam, why not give our guide a read?
