check your email again…you really should have received one – if not – you will, don´t worry.

i´d contact the retailer that you have preorderd from.

once you have the code, you need to register that one on bungie.net and then decide which platform you want to play on.

the code from your retailer isn´t the actual download code that you´ll need for the xbbox marketplace or psn shop,

if you are EU based, you wont receive the marketplace code that actually allows you to download the beta from the stroe before july 17 (unfortunately).

you will get that one directly from bungie,

i have preordered the limited edition as well but i am still not sure if i should go for the digital edition instead.

sidenote: if you want to avaoid all those beta code clunkyness you should preorder directly from the xbox or PS stores. then you wont have to bother with this code madness at all.

you can just download and play as soon as the beta hits planet earth.

    SO READY FOR THIS!

Thanks for your complete answer !

Fortunately i’ve preordered the physical limited edition from my retailer…. and my retailer emailed me they have completely run out of beta keys :(

    huh?

sounds fishy to me because there really should be more than enough codes available.

i would cancel my preorder from that shop and ask for a refund (if you´ve already payed for the game) and then just order a copy from amazon: you´ll get the code immidiately.

not sure where you are located but if it is the EU you could also just preorder another, second version of the game on amazon, wait for the key to arrive and then cancel the preorder.

you´d get the key and wont have to buy the game in the end.

that´s what i did. i preordered 6 months ago or so, then registered the code for the beta on bungie.net but then cancelled my first preorder a while back because i was thinking about going for the digital Version instead…my code registration from the cancelled game on bungie.net is still valid.

in the EU, amazon or any other online retailer is only allowed to charge you the moment they have shipped the actual game – so there is plenty of time to cancel the preorder without any costs or risks involved – all you need is a credit card.

@Dog4life Pre-order the game from Amazon, you don’t have to pay upfront, Amazon will charge you on the day of shipping.

    Pre-order the game
    Receive the beta code
    Cancel the pre-order
    ???
    Profit! :D

Halo > Destiny. The best people left Bungie and went to 343 anyway.

Bring on the Master Chief Collection!!!

I like Halo 4 and all, though very few Bungie staffers work for 343.

i am a huge halo fan. halo 4 is a fantastic game but to me it really lacked something. i didn´t like many of the gameplay changes that they have made. to me halo reach was the best halo game bungie made after ce. many will disagree about that but that´s just how i feel.

i miss that bungie vibe…hope destiny will fix that craving.
