Easter Egg ties Assassin’s Creed 4 to Watch Dogs

Assassin’s Creed is Ubisoft’s flagship franchise at this point, and considering Watch Dogs’ rather wild performance in presales that might grow into the publisher’s next big series should it hold up to scrutiny. That Assassin’s Creed 4 teases a connection between the two franchises should be of little surprise, even as the full implications are as yet unknown.

In AC4, Polygon notes, in hacking Abstergo computers you can find a page about Blume Corporation, which is the creator of the ctOS that makes you able to hack everything in the world from your phone in Watch Dogs. Polygon has made a video demonstrating these findings should you want to peruse them.

Perhaps Watch Dogs itself will shed some light on this, but at this point this easter egg might not mean much. But if it does mean something, and AC and Watch Dogs are set in the same universe, that could be very interesting indeed.

What do you guys think of that possibility?

When you think about it Watchdogs is like Assassin’s Creed meets Hacktivism. So it makes sense for them to at the least include some little tie-ins of some kind.

Same here. I am all for easter eggs but I rather they stay separate especially with Assassin Creed convoluted plot line.
