Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag pre-order editions will feature a free poster drawn by comic legend Todd McFarlane. Ubisoft has released a new trailer that shows the poster being made, and the inspiration behind it.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag launches on PS3, PC, Xbox 360 and Wii U in North America October 29 and across Europe on November 1. It’s out on PlayStation 4 as well, but no date has been confirmed.

We’ll never get a good Spawn game, will we? :)

McFarlane’s art was always overated IMO but he’s a great businessman.

@2 Overated? Now, I don’t really now what it is said about it, but even if you don’t like that particular style you have to admit his drawing skills are outstanding.

@5: They’re really not. He has his problems both mechanically and anatomically, not unlike Rob Liefeld. He’s just very good at talking up his own art and doing the whole cult of popularity thing.

From what I’ve seen so far, Assassin’s Creed 4 is quite amazing. I’ve played the first (I think 15 minutes) of gameplay from a demo I’ve found. I’ve even played through a complete sea-fight. If anyone else is interested, here’s the webpage:
(takes a few minutes to go through the steps, but totally worth it).
