Far Cry 3 – new gameplay reveals ‘outposts’
Far Cry 3 includes water buffalo hunting, shark fights, and outposts. VG247 talks to producer Dan Hay and takes in all-new gameplay footage.
Hay explains that each outpost – marked by a plume of black smoke visible from your hangglider – is unique, offering varying challenges and rewards for those who explore the archipelago thoroughly. Some of the adventures that you’ll have investigating the far-reaches of the map are pretty unusual, as you’ll see in the video above, and Hay gives an example of how emergent gameplay can make things even hairier.
Far Cry 3 is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late November.

Dammit I forgot it’s out December :O Oh well, opens up the already-packed schedule I guess.
I just can’t see this game failing, it looks like it’s done so well, and the way he described that last encounter is icing on the cake. A personal preference I’m also really enjoying is the weapon and attachment models, has a CoD 4 look to it, very slick and nice.
