The Walking Dead details confirmed, first 13 minutes leaked
A video with what appears to be leaked footage of Telltale’s The Walking Dead game has hit the net, showing what it claims is the first 13 minutes of the title on Xbox 360. On a more official note, Telltale has confirmed episodic details as well as pricing for the game.

The first of five monthly episodes of The Walking Dead is set for release in late April on XBL for 400 MSP and on PSN for $4.99. It will be released on PC and Mac as a season pass for $24.99 from the Telltale Online Store and other digital outlets.
A limited time pre-order offer available is also via the online store, which will enable players the chance to join the cast of the game in episode four, where they will be modeled as a human survivor “before being killed and then returned to life as a ravenous zombie.”
Pre-ordering also qualifies customers for a 10% discount which will run you $22.49 instead of $24.99.
The firm also noted that the trailer released last night was created by animator and director Daniel M. Kanemoto, who was asked by Telltale to create the trailer due to his “fan made” Walking Dead title sequence seen below.
“This trailer really shows off how our artists have managed to take the 2D art style of the comic books and create a 3D world allowing fans to truly interact with Robert Kirkman’s world for the very first time,” said Dan Connors, Telltale co-founder and CEO. “We hope that fans will like what they see and be excited by the chance to join the cast of the game; we promise they’ll die horribly!”

Hmm, I kinda like what I see. The graphics are a bit… let’s say “old”, but I don’t care, it seems to be a decent game and I hope it lives up to the comic books.

wow i really really liked that footage. i like the cel shaded artdesign as well. it also makes sense because the game is based on the comics and not the tv show really as far as i know. i didn´t expect much from this but it looks pretty interesting indeed. some cool ideas in there – nothing we haven´t seen before but it looks like it´s executed rather well.

Audio seems a bit weird. Sounds and music queues are OK but the voice acting seems out of place.

I like how he talks to that dead cop, asking if he’s ok. There’s clearly alot of blood, and looked very dead to me, lol. But this can turn out great.

See Darkness 2, that’s the art-style you should’ve had.
