Lord of the Rings: War in the North to launch in November

Warner’s confirmed release dates for Lord of the Rings: War in the North which will launch in the US on November 1, Australia November 2, and in Europe on November 4. The Snowblind action-RPG, is the spirtual successor to Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance, according to the firm. We had a chat with Snowblind on the game yesterday. Watch for quotes from 4pm.

In same month with Skyrim,Uncharted,MW3….
I KNOW its not same genre but they should release it at least September or December.

Indeed, this seems like the worst possible time for them to launch it. It looks pretty interesting, but it’s hardly been setting the internet alight with excitement so burying it in among all the heavy-hitters just seems like madness.

In fairness to them, this isn’t like previous holiday release tsunamis where you saw the disaster coming a year off. This one kind of congealed in the last few months with delays and surprise date “makes”.

Still…they should definitely find cause to kick it into the winter, otherwise the only people making money on it will be half.com.
