Ghostbusters – 360, Wii and DS SKUs to release later this year

ghostbusters5

An Atari rep has told VG247 that non-PlayStation Ghostbusters SKUs will definitely release later this year.

“We’re still waiting on official dates,” we were told this morning.

It was confirmed earlier that Sony is to publish the PS3, PS2 and PSP versions of the game, and, according to conversations we’ve just had, has a period of exclusivity over the other versions.

It’s worth noting that Ghostbusters is a Columbia IP. Which is owned by Sony. Which is publishing a Blu-ray anniversary version of the movie along with the PS3 and PS2 versions on June 19.

News that the DS, Wii and 360 versions will hit in 2009 will come as relief to many.

A Sony press release is expected this lunchtime BST.

How crap…

Looks like other versions are in for a delay.

I was looking forward to playing this between now and november… No it looks like all I’ll end up buying is Prototype.

That was their plan GiGA, ruin your summer for slagging them off so much.

Then you stopped slagging them off, and they were even more weirded out, so they pushed harder to make sure your summer of gaming was terrible.

So any confirmation on this being Euro only? Obviously it mentioned Europe / PAL in the PR but I’m wondering if that’s simply because that’s where the PR is from.

It would be weird if it were Euro/Australia exclusive. But then it’s weird in the first place, so whatever, it’s all so unclear.

Eurogamer are saying that Atari US say they are still publishing all versions of the game over there. So it looks like this really is just a Euro deal.
