Microsoft is fixing Xbox One's slow controllers

Xbox One control pads have many charms, but quick start up is not one of them.

The Xbox One controller currently takes up to five seconds to connect to your console after switching on, which is an eternity for someone with an attention span as short as mine.

Luckily, Microsoft is working to fix this issue, and already has a new firmware on the go designed to rectify it.

The update is currently in testing and is available to Xbox Preview members, so at a guess I'd say it will release sometime next month.

If you'd like to try it out, Major Nelson has instructions on how to update your controller's firmware.
