Wii Mini: "no plans to launch it in the UK", says Nintendo

Wii Mini was outed earlier this week as an exclusive launch console for Canada, and a Nintendo rep has confirmed that the smaller Wii model will not launch in the UK. Get the details below.

Speaking with CVG, the Nintendo rep clarified the company's stance on Wii Mini, "We have no plans to launch it in the UK. Our focus here is all about Wii U."

The announcement of Wii Mini has baffled many gamers, as it launches across Canada from December 7th at a lower price-point of $99.99. It has no internet features or backwards compatibility with GameCube titles. For a full rundown on the console, check out our coverage from earlier in the week.
