Ubisoft to bring top franchises to tablets soon

Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot has said he expects to see the publisher's top brands on tablets within the next few years.

CVG reports Guillemot was asked about tablets during a Q&A session as part of Ubisoft's quarterly financial briefing.

"The tablet market is growing fast, we have Apple and lots of other players with tablets," he said.

"We are developing a few products around our brands. You will see games in the next few years from all of our biggest brands like Assassin's [Creed]."

Guillemot said the company wouldn't just release ports of current console releases.

"They will be different games. They will be adapted from games in the past or specifically developed for those platforms," he explained.
