Skullgirls co-publishers part ways, patch testing for PS3 and Xbox 360 "nearly complete"

Autumn Games, co-publisher of Skullgirls, and the game's other co-publisher Konami have "terminated their business relationship," according to a post on IndieGoGo.

According to the update posted by Lab Zero Games CEO Peter Bartholow, the split will allowing the developer to move forward with the PS3 and Xbox 360 patch in "a more timely and cost-effective manner."

"As of today, Autumn and Konami have terminated their business relationship," wrote Bartholow. "As it's been alluded to in the past, things have not always been hunky-dory between Autumn Games and Konami. Around the time of the last update, it became clear that it would not be possible to proceed with the new patches as long as Konami was involved with Skullgirls."

The page update he spoke of alluded that Konami was being "completely unresponsive," regarding updates on Microsoft certifications for the patches.

Autumn Games is now the sole publisher of Skullgirls on PS3, and is working with MarvelousAQL as a partner on Xbox 360, as the Microsoft service doesn't support digital-only publishers.
