Red Dead Online Max Level - What is the Maximum Level in Red Dead Online?

Here's the maximum level your character can reach over the course of Red Dead Online.

Your progress throughout your time with Red Dead Online is marked by an overall character level, which increases as you gain XP. In this Red Dead Online max character level guide, we'll be taking a look at the highest level that your character can rise to in the game.

But if you instead need any other information on the online portion of Red Dead Redemption 2, you can head over to our Red Dead Online guide. Here you can find a complete beginner’s guide, essential tips and tricks, and more for the online mode of Rockstar’s huge game.

What is the Maximum Character Level in Red Dead Online?

At the very beginning of your journey in Red Dead Online, after you’ve presumably messed around with the character customization options and created an absolute monster, you’ll be free in the open world. Your character obviously starts off Red Dead Online at level 1.

But if you bring up the pause menu while playing Red Dead Online and select ‘Progress’, you’ll be taken to the menus where all your actions so far in Red Dead Online are chronicled. Now select ‘Rank Unlocks’, and you can see multiple pages of greyed-out icons, which indicate at which levels you’ll unlock rewards for your character.

If you scroll all the way along to the seven page of the Rank Unlocks, you’ll see that the maximum reward level for your Red Dead Online character is level 100. This means that the maximum overall level for anyone playing Red Dead Online is 100.

But, it’s going to be one hell of a journey to get there. You earn XP through completing story missions in Red Dead Online, game modes like Team Shootout (team deathmatch) and Make it Count (the battle royale one) against other players, as well as successfully raiding gang hideouts around the world. It’s only through earning XP like this that you can increase your character level, advancing up the Rank Unlocks page as far as you can.
