PlayStation UK boss leaves for Amazon UK

Fergal Gara has left PlayStation UK after four years at the helm to join Amazon UK.

Fergal Gara, who spent four years at Sony as head of PlayStation UK and Ireland, has left the platform holder. Gara is now with Amazon UK and will assume the "head of PC" position, according to MCV.

The move follows a resignation announcement made at the end of September, (thanks, Gamespot). It was then Sony revealed PlayStation Nordics and Eastern Europe manager Warwick Light will succeed Gara in his UK position.

Gara's roots are in retail, he spent six years at UK supermarket chain Asda, during which he occupied various leading positions, so the move makes sense.
